I knew Kevin since the 6th grade at Haven jr. high. He was all about sports and quite good at it. I fondly recall a time he and I went to a Cubs game together and had a blast. I remember at Haven he was one of the first guys to have a pair of Adidas when they were first becoming popular. I just had to have a pair myself for two reasons; first, if Kevin was wearing them that had to be the cool thing to do, and second, I really liked the shoes. He had a lot of friends and is truly missed.

Best of the best. Piggybacked from his HS sports buddies and neighbors to get to know him.  A fond memory was his dad taking Kurt H Kev and myself to Hackneys on Lake to celebrate our 16th B day with a bartender Mr McP knew who allowed us each to have a frosty one. Enjoyed having some addtional time after HS when Danny Bemis, Bob Schwartz and Kev were in school at Ill Weslyn in Bloomington.  Saw him later on at the Evanston health club on Davis & Chicago Ave. when his health started to take a turn. Happy good spirited tough competitor in life.

I am saddened to see all the familiar names on the In Memory list.  I knew Kevin, Leslie Nichols and so many others from kindergarden on.  I can still remember the fun we had at Haven and going to Camp Dunkin in 3rd grade because we all were in the same cabin.  I remember Kevin wanted to give me a nick name so he came up with "Possum" because I was very shy.  Thank God it did not stick.  I am sorry to hear that so many good friends from Evanston have passed on.

A great guy who befriended me in High School.i thought he was one very cool guy and I felt lucky to hang out with him.  His love for hockey rubbed off on me and he taught me to play at Ackerman park. We would drive around in his red car (Camaro?) going from park to park looking for good ice. He thought my dirt bike racing was a cool thing and was always encouraging me as I was learning the sport. I left Evanston for California in 1979 and we sadly lost touch. RIP Kevin.

He would have been thrilled about the Cubs winning the series.

Kevin was in my thoughts as the Cubs clinched last night as well Andy!  The two of us went to wrigley often as kids and I believe we never saw them lose!  I know Kevin was smiling along with all of us last night for sure!!

You know Mac was truly in the Sky Box or at the old confines during the whole playoffs and extra innings on the road cheering the Cubbies on.
