We're advised by her sister Karen Balch (Wagner) that Kathy Balch (Simmons) passed away on November 16, 2017. She was a resident of Atlanta. 

She wrote on November 27th 2018:

This Thanksgiving, our family gathered in Evanston to remember and celebrate the warmth and joy that Kathy brought into all of our lives. It has been a year since she passed away. We lost her far too soon. We miss her dearly.
