I met Josh in CS class, junior year. He was the kind of friend that changes your life, introducing me to a whole group of new friends, the hippies. I had been lonely before that and his friendship filled a big gap in my life. We stayed in touch ever since and always enjoyed a special rapport. I will miss his kindness, openess, and humor.

He worked hard. After a career in TV news and then advertising production, he ran a gourmet coffee business and had just opened a cafe on Long Island. We did not have the opportunity to visit it.

Josh had been on vacation with his family when he was suddenly taken ill. Though airvaced to NY, he quickly succumbed to the illness due to complications.

Tasmania! It's actually possible my son, a newly minted MD, will emigrate to Australia or New Zealand. If so, I'll try to drop by.

I wish happy birthday to one of the nicest people I've known from middle school!

A gentle guy with a good sense of humor. We were 7-8th grades at Haven. RIP.
